RBG “O”

8x8 oil on board with a black wood frame

“Whatever you choose to do, leave tracks. That means don’t do it just for yourself. You will want to leave the world a little better for your having lived.” ~Ruth Bader Ginsburg

In the past decade or so I have paid more attention to politics. I have read more, formed my own opinions based on facts, and embraced the wisdom and example of many strong women. RBG was an influential leader. She became influential by being a successful advocate for gender equality and other hot-button issues. She persuaded individuals and governments to change policies and laws to support gender equality. She was strategic, patient, relational, and persuasive. She reminds me of my mom. If their paths had crossed they would have been good friends. A strong woman needs an ostrich portrait.
