Everyone has one of those uncles. The kind that break the rules and laugh as they do it. My Great Uncle Vic was one of those. He smoke, drank too much, and told naughty jokes. He gave us candy when our parents weren’t looking and was always the life of the party. He was the one person who could get away with teasing my granny. When he teased her he would stand far enough away so she couldn’t hit him with whatever kitchen utensil she had in her hand. I can still conjure up memories of the fun we had with him and this ostrich just reminded me of him.
