I’ve Got a Frog in My Pocket

I was an only child. I was definitely a tom boy and loved animals from an early age. It was not unusual for me to spend hours in the woods behind our house and assign names to the various animals that I found there. Sometimes they would spend a few days trapped in cages or aquariums while I tried to domesticate them. Without success. They didn’t stay for long, but while they did, I enjoyed having them around. Now I have 2 dogs and 2 cats (which are mostly domesticated).
