Tea for Two

Our son is an animal lover. When he was little, in addition to two large dogs, there was almost always a cage with a creature in his room. Hermit crabs, snakes, fish, rats, hamsters, and mice. When my mom came to visit, we had to move the rodents to the basement and pretend that they didn’t exist. She was terrified of them and threatened to stay in a hotel if they were there. It is fitting that these two little gems found their way into one of mom’s favorite mugs, on her birthday. Funny how things work out sometimes.
